mylar / polyester on fingerboards

    i think how to do this was covered a bit but search didn't show much of value

    specifically

    how to

    if you take the mylar off can you clean the board of adhesive and yuck, getting it back to original

  2. A little Naptha will remove the adhesive left from these coverings.

    I'd like to know what, and how to apply it

    but also wanted to be sure i could undo it if i didn't care for the results

    here's the thread that junglebike started when he applied a mylar film to his fretless board. if you want him to get really specific, i'm sure you could send him a pm or an email...the guys around here are really cool about helping out. and as far as getting it off, like hammy said...some naptha will get any of the adhesive off after you've pulled off the mylar.
