  10. That is the first bass I thought of when I read the title! Beautiful figure on that piece.

This Eshenbaugh Black Forest 5 should be finished before to long. Picked out this piece of myrtle burl myself! :smug:

  12. That's a beauty, Jay! What wood will be using for the fretboard?

You betcha'! :D I was so impressed with the Black Forest fretless 5 that Mark had at NAMM that I decided to use another piece of the ironwood that was used on that other bass. This one will feature some of the sapwood from that piece, and the fretlines will be in contrast to the color of the wood. In other words, where the ironwood board is dark, that portion of the freline will be sapwood colored, and where the sapwood is, the fretline will be dark. You might be able to see a bit of what I'm talking about in the photo below. It'll be smokin'! :hyper: ;)

  14. Wow, Jay! That should be a beauty. Great idea on the fretboard. Can't wait to check it out!

Ooooohhhhhh, I was hoping for the flaming eyes from JT's new South Park Avitar... :p

But just in case it was unclear in any way, they are ALL sweet sweet basses. I'll take 2 of each.

Send the bill to Brad Johnson. :bag:
