I was watching the olympic closing ceremonies and Liam Gallagher's band Beady Eye performed Wonderwall. While there was nothing odd about that apart from liam needing to use a teleprompter for the lyrics, the bassist was using an extremely unusual bass which I can't seem to recognise. here is the link to the video. his bass can be seen best at 1:23. If talkbass could help me figure out what this is, I'd be grateful. Also, as an after thought, what is he running for amps?

Thanks guys. I kind f had a suspicion that it was a harmony, because it's burst is similar to the one that is on Dan Auerbach of the black keys harmony.
