Mystery custom bass, please help identify

    Found this on ebay, and I'm trying to identify the maker. There are no identifying labels or marks. I've scoured the web using descriptions of the features and can't find anything.

    The veneer top appears to be rosewood. Removing the pickups reveal a chamber on the bass side, and the body appears to be routed on the top and the bottom, as shown by the appearance of the control cavity. Unique features include a very attractive bound ebony fretboard, 31" short scale, passive J pickups, Gotoh 510BR bridge, and Grover machines. The four tiny black screws near either end of each pickup do not appear to have any functions. Questions/Comments on this are appreciated.
