I scored a early 70s Ampeg B15N, for a steal on my local CL. This thing sounds amazing. I owned a B15S for a bit and was good but not this good. All I can say is WOW! I'm rebuilding my rig after my divorced cleared me out and this is the perfect building block:)

It needs some TLC on the outside. It will be a good winter project this year. There is a little noise when not playing but nothing too bad. The input jacks were a bit crackly, I cleaned them out. The owner purchased it from a school and it has that stenciled on the top of the lid. The speaker cable was changed to a 1/4. Still has a two prong power cable. I'll post more pics. Here is one :hyper:

Yeah I saw that, killer deal! I would have snagged it myself if the cash had been handy.

    I didn't think I had a chance, I've had bad luck lately on CL. I missed a chance for a 04 Ric 4003 for $800 last week.

Thanks, It's really boosted my spirits. I can justify dressing it up considering I got it for a steal. I was thinking black check from fliptops or maybe just doing regular. Probably replace the grill and get a new badge for it.

Great score! I used one of those years ago at a band practice and couldnt believe how loud it was for its wattage rating, and beautiful tone. I still kick myself for not buying it as it was for sale.

nice CL grab. $600 is a great price for one of those in working order. There is a super clean '71 floating around my area (played in a church for 20 years, still has the reciept, user manual and service records etc.) but the asking is $1k (which is probably a fair price).

    enjoy!
