Once again, thanks to Talkbass members. If it weren't for you guys, I wouldn't have been on the net looking for good deals on used basses. I just snagged a SUB 5 on Bassnw and should pick it up in the in a sometime soon. I was ready to spend much more on a Skyline or other bass, but when I saw this for under $400, I said why not save the money since I mainly want a backup to my Peavey USA Millennium 5.
One other thing, for folks who say that the SR5 is really a Sterling 5, I guess the SUB5 is the true SR5 since it's electronics are much closer to the original Stingray setup.
I'll have to disagree with you on that one, the SUB's don't sound anything like a ray or ray5, it is its own beast. Still a fine bass, and sounds like one heck of a deal!
