My wife came home yesterday with a puppy out of the blue. He was a stray they found at her work, so if no owners come to claim him he's ours. They called the pound and dog catcher to see if any one lost a dog with his description. No luck, so chances are he's going to be ours. Anyway, the problem is, he has no name. I'm trying to think of something unique, and possibly music related, not sure. What are some names you guys can think of for him?
Provincial. That's what I'm naming a dog if I ever get one. I'm also naming the first cat I get Municipal. So maybe I shouldn't be suggesting names?
Well, I was petting my cat one day (kitty loves his pets) and I thought to myself "If I ever get a cat, I'm gonna name him Municipal." Why? I dunno, it just popped in my head. So, naming a dog Provincial seemed to be a natural extension of that thought.
Just observe him and then name him after one of his main characteristics - that's my favorite way of naming a pet.
I already ran through the bass names. I was thinking Jaco, Vic, Flea, P Nut even, but they didn't seem to fit when I called him. Hey You will probably be the most common thing I call him, up there with Stop It and Damn Dog. But I want an official name. I usually do name dogs after their characteristics. But I want his name to be something musical. Not sure why. I have a few ideas already, but I want to see if anyone else has an idea before I go with one. Keep up the naming!
Good names for dogs: Roger Arthur Clive Hank Bub Sparky Henderson Frankly Google ('cause you'll always be searching for him)
I'm still leaning toward Jaco like Moley said, I had thought of that last night, but it doesn't seem too unique, almost like it's expected of a bass player to name his dog that, what do you guys think?
What kind of dog is he? That might help folks in suggesting a fitting name. Suggestions: Leo (in honor of mr. Fender) Geezer (as in Butler - sounds like a good dog name) Bull Fiddler (bull or fiddler for short) Ernie Ball (Ernie for short) Dorian Lowie (made up 'name' pronounced Low E) Bootsy
Haha, I'm a moron, I thought I wrote what he was. He's a mutt, but he's mainly pit bull. But he's got some beagle and maybe some boxer in him. He's black and white, he's got a black patch over one eye. He looks a little like the little rascals dog. I like your suggestions Creepy.
