    NAMM 100th Anniversary String Ray

This is the same custom guitar discussed in these articles:
    http://www.guitar.com/news/shownews.asp?newsID=405

    Status Graphite Neck
    100 were made ever
Only 49 for the entire USA
    String through body
Gold anniversary medallion inlaid in head

Flawless condition. Has been played maybe 10 hours and still has original string on it.

Includes factory hardcase, of course. I'll throw in a SWR LA-8 practice amp to boot.

Of course, it plays and sounds great but is probably best for the collector.

email or pm me if you have any questions or wanna make an offer.

Surprisingly, they did not number the guitar n of 100. Or if they did, I haven't noticed.

The only number is the standard serial number on the plate that holds the bridge and strings go through the body.

    Not interested in a trade.

Dumb story but true, I bought this as my first bass and planned to learn to play using it. I never got around to it. Pretty expensive piece of hardware just to have around collecting dust.

I thought it better to put the cash back in my pocket and the bass in the hands of someone that could use it.

    I've gotten a $1300 offer from a dealer.

If anyone can beat that, it will probably be theirs.

I'll see if I can borrow a digital camera in the next day or two and get pics of my guitar posted.

    In the mean time:

The top guitar on this site is exactly the same guitar. It looks identical to that. Note the price they are asking.

It has that typical String Ray sound.

Very good quality pickup and electronics in it. Of course, they are all active (powered) electronics in it.

I think it is an excellent sounding bass.

Ok, time to move this thing.

First $1350 takes it. (plus actual shipping costs)

Good quality images available by email.

To request them, email me at:

    scotth(nospam)@forelogic.com

Get rid of the "(nospam)" of course.
