NAMM 2006 Bass Concerts/Performances???

Discussion in 'Bassists [BG]' started by Jay Terrien, Nov 15, 2005.

  1. Does anyone know if there have been any scheduled Bass Concerts/Performances for NAMM 2006? Is anyone interested in this type of bass-centric event?

It doesn't look like BQ is happening (at least not from their website). However I will be performing at the EA booth throughout NAMM (if you care)

  3. Then we'll have to make DQ, "DIMIN QUAKE" happen instead!

Or, we can all hang out in the Dairy Queen parking lot, whatever option is cooler!! See you at the EA Booth.

I know that the bass trio of Yves Carbonne, Dominique di Piazza and Michael Manring are playing a show in/around NAMM. That's going to be one to catch! I'm sure MM has posted the gig details over in his section of Talkbass.

Full disclosure, I'm a certified Fender technician working in a music store that carries Fender, Yamaha, and Ibanez products among others.
What a coincidence, I'll be stopping by the EA booth throughout NAMM :)

My band has managed to land a radio appearance and gig at the Knitting Factory during NAMM weekend, but it won't be very bass-centric. With my luck, it'll probably be at the same time as the MM show...ah, well.

Any other TB'ers got gigs scheduled for NAMM? I'm tired of hanging out in my motel room at these things.

You're welcome to hang with us - except for those uber-secret NAMM meetings that only those with red badges get to attend ;)

Hey Mike, someday I'll make a trip there. Would be a very cool experience.
