Okay so the Summer NAMM show (even though its winter here!) is starting up in a couple of days. There is probably going to be a few people going who can take photos or who have photos of basses that are going to be there. So lets help get TB the inside scoop on these cool basses.

Post your pics of basses that are at NAMM, going to NAMM, or that you otherwise have the scoop on here! Lets see new models, cool exotics and anything else NAMM and bass related!

  2. Awesome idea, AWESOME! I wonder if Fender is coming out with any new models or designs. Anyone know?

I will also be uploading pics to my server so that James can post pics for everyone to see whats going on at NAMM. I'll walk around and snap pics as much as I can. (we tried this at winter but my cel card for my laptop wasn't working right).

The New LowEnd Jazz basses make their first NAMM show. Also check out this months bass player in the New Gear section.

PS: please, if you have questions don't ask in the thread. Some think by me responding is spam..... sorry.

Wow....that ash Benavente Vortex? with the single pickup looks to be Tobias Killer B inspired, is that what the inspiration was? Totally cool looking bass though!

Wasn't really the thought..... actually we has a single Wide Benavente pickup and Chris has some enough ash to do a body........... is more or less how it came about :D
Glad you dig it. Nice little Vortex Thick P bass.

I like the older style single cuts better, especially the one with the white top.

What kind of pickup or coil pattern is that on the ash Vortex. With a P style pickup it'd be pretty neat.

if it's like mine, it's a dual coil wired to a push/pull volume wired series/parallel. Killer sounding combo IMO/E

Nick its actually a Benavente Wide, just in the P position. The switch is a series/parallel for the coils...... hope this isn't spam...

...without all the bad bits (ie the wedding).... :D

I really dig that top as well, I assume its holly, although I would probably lose the holes along the top if it were my bass.
