I've been asked by Carey Nordstrand to display a couple of basses in his pickup booth at NAMM in January. Carey will have two booths, one for his basses and one for pickups. He'll be displaying basses built by other builders in his pickup booth, all sporting his pickups of course. I met Carey at the summer NAMM show in Austin where he mentioned the idea to me. Great idea! Of course I was super-jazzed when the phone call came. I consider this a huge honor. I'm very humbled that Carey invited me to participate. I'm not sure who the other builders will be, but I'm sure they're all great. It's going to be one crazy booth at the show.

Here's the first pics of the basses that will be at the show.

LeCompte ECH-6, ash body, walnut accent, flamed maple top, maple bloodwood neck, bloodwood fingerboard with macassar ebony binding, Nordstrand Dual Coils.

Those are unbelievable. I LOVE that bloodwood fingerboard.

Actually, after checking them out some more, the only thing that bothers me is that one of the basses I'm building right now has almost the exact same shape as the TRX, and ironically, the one I'm building is a fan-fret too! I'm jealous that yours come out better. :bag:

Thanks, guys. Exciting times for me.

Wreck, personal preference. Not a big fan of the neck-through.

Bud, that TRX is just killing all! Are you going to put a bit of rosewood coverup on the front-exposed heel?

PJ, no cap on the heel. Too late for that. It's beveled already. I'm going to leave it exposed like the TRX-6. Wait 'til you see the crazy Fatstacks going in it. You'll have to play "spot the difference".

Yvon, I've got HUGE plans for the ECH-6. You'll have to wait and see. :smug: Of course they will be for sale, but after the show. It's getting an Aguilar OBP-1, 2 band preamp, sorry.
