Could it be that Nathan has a new signature bass?

    Just kidding.

I just picked up a used RBX JM2 a few days ago and am totally impressed with this bass.

Everything set flat the thing sounds super modern and clean. Just a bit tweaking of the pre and out comes a different sound.

I'm really surprised the bass wasn't more popular before being discontinued. I know I'm in the honeymoon stage, but am having a hard time picking anything else up.

    Clearly a winner IMO.

Chili Bo Billy and kodiakblair like this.
  2. Sweet bass you got yourself.

Nathan could play a broom and sound great though.

Nice looking bass. I'm too old for the landing strip sized fretboards.

I used to have this same exact bass. It's a sweet bass! I only wish it came with TWO of those musicman pickups!

  5. i was actually pleasantly surprised (...nah, "somewhat shocked" is a better way of putting it) that I like the sound as much as I do. With mostly the negative things I read about it and the fact it's discontinued, i was expecting to not like it at all.

The fretboard is wide; however, it's one of the narrow sixers with 16.5 mm spacing, making it only .25" wider than my 19mm five strings. And the neck is fairly thin, making it pretty easy to get around.

I once owned the John Myung version of that bass, it had a nice sound.

It's not the same thing (without that odd design on the fingerboard)?
