NBD! 1984 Mockingbird

  1. I went pawn shop hunting today and found this little guy.

    The Bad:
    1. Frets are really worn
    2. Pickups are not original
    3. Middle position on selector is out.

    The Good:
    1. Even with low, worn frets it set up well and plays nice.
    2. The pickups were changed to Rio Grande Muy Grandes. Without a doubt my favorite P Bass pickups. I have them in another bass and sweat by them. They're not cheap. $140.00 each.
    3. Because of the wiring issue I got it for $165.00!

I love old B.C. Rich basses and this will get gigged hard.

  3. It certainly reliced but in a good way. It plays better than I expected given its age and use. The neck pickup sounds amazing. Love LOVE the Rio Grandes.
