I'm in love with my new baby. Just brought home a gently used 2011 Fender Standard P in sunburst. Not a mark on her. Just need to raise the pick ups a tad and put on some flats and my dream bass is home.

Nice. Waiting for mine to show up:hyper:

What flavor of flats are you going to run?

  4. Have some fender flats in my drawer here. That will be the start anyways.

Wow...it's all about the burst! Congrats on a great looking bass.

Sunburst and Maple trips my trigger every time! Beautiful bass!! That's one of those that I'd always keep. The definitive Classic Precision bass!

Cool. Post up sound clips if you can. Haven't used the old green silks on a P yet. The one I ordered also has a maple fb. Good choice!

Been using TIs on my other p bass, liking those so far

Nice! I'm about a month and a half into my first Fender P, a US 2011 with flats as well, and I'm still tucking it into bed at night. I have some pretty nice basses in the stall but I haven't picked a single one of them up since I brought the P home. Congrats!
