I got this in yesterday - I've been looking for an 80s Foundation for a while now... I've always liked those headstocks for Peavey, and wanted a Foundation with Super Ferrites in it... It was REALLY grubby when I got it, but cleaned up pretty good - it's actually in really good condition, and took a setup nicely... It came with one of those old Peavey chainsaw cases... As always, my pics leave a bit to be desired, but here they are:
i used to own two: same as yours --- white --- one fretted, one fretless. i liked 'em! congrats on your new instrument!
Thanks - I've had a couple other Foundations in the past, but never really bonded with them... This one has a neck that's a little chunkier than the past ones I had, and just sounds better - I think I may have a keeper...
Congrats I bought a 1992 Foundation with the SF pickups almost 6 months ago. It has quickly become my min player though hand on heart I would love to own an 80's Foundation more though. Like you I really like the headstocks on them & the body looks a bit bigger as well .
Thanks - I'm pretty happy with it... I'll be calling Peavey tomorrow to see about some bridge saddles to replace the rusted ones on mine... Other than that, it's in excellent condition...
Thank you - I honestly didn't need another white bass(this makes 5)- but it does look pretty good, and I did want the maple fretboard...
I’ve probably got that many, including a white/maple Foundation. It’s a look that never gets old for me.
