    Hi all,

I am happy to report that I got myself a Japanese made 1998 Ibanez SR1010 (SR1010SOL, to be exact)!!! Yeah~ :hyper:

It has a mahogany body, 5-piece Wenge/Bubinga neck with Wenge fretboard.

On the back of the headstock, it says, "F98 28xxx" "Japan"

It is in a truly EXCELLENT shape.
There is a small dent on the top edge of fret board on the 1st fret (low E side) that doesn't affect playing.
Other than that, hardly any scratch or dents on the body.
And not a speck of tarnish on the hardware.
The fret wires are in pristine condition with absolutely no wear at all!!!

I am sure it has been handled more than played, and has spent most of its life inside the case.

It came with an original Ibanez hard case, which was kind of beat up but still 100% functional with no cracks and damages.

It plays really well, and with a set of about 6-month old Chromes flatwounds that I put on, it is a one heck of a tone machine, especially with the mid-shift knob (Vari-Mid) that you can adjust the mid-frequency of the pre-amp EQ.

To prove that it is indeed a NBD, there are the pics~!!!

And the tuning gear that says "Made in Japan."

    Thanks guys!!!

Nice bass. Liking the finish, the Soundgear basses always look good.

Thanks. I just join the Soundgear Club~! ;)

Thanks! Yes, I think the finish looks great. What can I say, I am a sucker for a natural finish on a bass. :D

Thanks! I love the way the neck looks and feels.
But on man... After playing it for a while, if I grab my MIA P-bass, the neck of P-bass feels like a baseball bat...
But--- I do love 'em both. :)

BTW, yes the PUPs are stock Ibanez PUPs (SFR-SN & SFR-SB) that were also on the Prestige line of the same model year.
