with the money i saved getting such a good deal on my new Carvin Icon 6, i was casually looking for this flavor to round out my stable.

i was looking at a couple of other models, then this fell into my lap.

    STUNNING instrument. killer price.

    i'm done.

well, until i get moving on a custom from Cliff Bordwell.

    you are correct!

Godin A4 Ultra SA. anxious to try the 13 pin synth access.

    amazing beastie.

i've owned a Rob Allen MB2. was looking at the cheaper Carvin AC series.

    Then this popped up.

great bass. fretless with side markers. great neck!!! godin-a4-102215-neck.jpg godin-a4-102215-front.jpg

Wade at still kickin was great to work with.

he is in SoCal, so i was able to meet him and pick it up yesterday.

Let us know about the synth results. I've been interested in the G3 stuff for a bit but haven't found much that's informative. I've been wondering about MIDI latency using this kind of setup.

    will do.

i've been doing guitar synth stuff since the '80's.

had the old Roland GR700 and G808 controller.

pitch to MIDI is flawed. but workable.

i have a Boss GT100 (love it) that has pitch to MIDI. not bad.

    i also have a Sonuus G2M.

    pretty cool.

the BEST interface i've had was with the Lightwave Systems Optical pickup to GK adapter.

Lightwave is still going strong with the MIDI thing through Willcox Guitars:

i used to have a V Bass. love the upright patch using my Zon 5 fretless and GK2B.

i'm gonna keep an eye out for the VB 99.
