I'm totally stunned at the beauty of this Bass. Plays even more beautifully.
Looks sick. Congratulations....I hope you play the hell out of it
Thanks Man, I already put 2 hours on it. It's a 1993 '62 Reissue Non -Export MIJ.
I'm fortunate enough to own one of those as well. One of the best dollar-to-bass options out as far as a Fender P-bass is concerned, IMO.
I believe you. I am blown away at how mint it is for being 20 years old and coming all this way from Japan. Even the Frets are Mint. I have some New EB Flats for it but it's pretty perfect as is.
What a beauty
I was told several times that used camera & music gear in Japan & Korea is typically minty. Maybe a cultural thing for both--that it's unacceptable to sell worn out gear. I know there's a term in Korean meaning unattractive/not-presentable/garbage/embarrassing/untouchable so maybe they just wouldn't think of it.
I have one of those, pretty much identical but it's an '87/'88. I find it needs a bit more setup attention than other instruments I've owned, but when it's dialed it's a beauty. And even when it's not setup perfectly it still *sounds* perfect. Just plug it in to just about any rig EQ'd flat and it just sounds 'right'. Mine is a bit more beat up but it's a workhorse!
That's sweet! Enjoy it.
Very Nice!! Enjoy that beast!
Thanks Karsten, I couldn't resist the GAS. Good luck with the Warwick.
There may be something to that. There's one tiny Cymbal mark and that's about it.
That is a gorgeous bass. I got lucky about 3 months ago and picked up a '90 MIJ Vintage White '57 RI P-Bass in 9/10 condition in a pawnshop for $125. It really is very awesome bass. This was my first MIJ bass ,and I'm so impressed with the quality that I'm on the look out for other MIJ's. Congrats again on killer looking bass.
That is a great deal on a great bass. I remember when you first posted about it.
yap, japs really know how to take care of their stuff.
i have a '79 P bass from there and it looks more mint than most 10 yr olds i've seen ard
Can't go wrong with an MIJ Fender. Congrats!
To me, Japanese ones really are generally the best fenders there are!
