Received this today from Chicago Music Exchange.

Strung with Thomastik-Infeld JF324 Flatwounds, and Jeff set it up perfectly.

Nice!! Would you (or anyone really) be able to offer a comparison of the '63 AVRI to the recetly discontinued '62 AVRI?

    Here's a pretty good thread that discusses the difference: AVRI 63 vs 62 P Bass | TalkBass.com

Wow! That is the mother load!
    I love CME.
In my opinion they are THEE best online gear retailer.
I bought a bass from them a few years back for around $800 and they treated me like I had just purchased a pre-CBS stacked knob Jazz :woot:

    Canada, eh!
Mmmmmm.... The late '59 to 63-ish Precisions are my favourite.

    Awesome classic look. Congrats.

FYI: Whenever I buy a new bass, I take ALL the extras and put them in a ZipLoc bag so it doesn't get lost or sloshed about in the case and put it in the file cabinet. On the rare occasion that you may sell it, you've got ALL that goodness that proves pedigree and solidifies your sales price & desirability. FWIW.
