Mid 90s violin bass. Its a semi hollow - solid wood in the middle with pickup, piezo and active preamp. The inlay says Aria custom shop so i guess its from Japan. Think its pretty rare cause there is limited info to be found via Google.

Very solid and nice sounding bass.

Received a gift from Sire* (see sig)
Looks lovely without the usual rectangular control plate.

  5. That's really lovely, congrats!

  6. Wow, love the look of the head on this, but bholder has a point. How does the neck feel and what does she weigh in at? Is there a brand name on those machine heads or are they blank? That finish looks very sweet. Any back pics? Nice score.

Heres a pic from the backside - someone added a second strap button along the line - balance is ok! Feels more like a solid than a semi. Its not a light bass - dont have a scale handy right now, but its nowhere along the lines of a hofner.

That's really cool and looks to be in remarkable shape for its age.

  9. Love it! I dig rare/odd basses like that. Congrats!

It could be a "parts bass". Notice the Hofner tailpiece. What ever it is, it's nice!

That thing is stunningly beautiful. It's the most violiny violin bass I've ever seen.
