matte black - no exposed wood. really looking forward to it. ships friday.

danny at japan direct posted a video review of it right after i asked about it. great player and super nice to deal with.

i WAS gonna go with Jon M at M Bass (another GREAT guy to deal with). but this has all the features i needed at a decent price.

Loving mine. It is the clearest Jazz tone I have experienced. Sounds like a fender custom shop.

Have to say my 6 string DX6 with big singles is unreal tone of a different flavor. Really suggest hunting down a Bacchus with those style pickups. It is the best sounding bass I have ever owned. Sounds like a super modern soapbar bass or a PBass or a Jazz bass bridge. Just depends on how you set the pickup knob. Regardless, the low mids are off the charts.

Also, highly suggest trying DR Sunbeams on this Bacchus Jazz. Perfect match.

I've got a Bacchus Handmade
Turbo 5. My favorite bass. It's got a fat 3 piece maple neck and fingerboard. It's bright and super growly. Killer axe.
