I have wanted one of Carl’s basses for nearly 20 years and today I paid my balance and the bass is in the mail. Super excited to get ahold of this one!

  4. Wow, how is the fretboard blended into the neck towards the heel? That looks wild.

Good for you! How long was the wait time? What comes along with it as to case candy? What a treasure!

Sitting at a little under 2 years. There was a little mixup with the order that caused a couple month delay but Carl was super responsive and got it straightened out.

Stylish and serious all at the same time, but I generally love Mr. Thompson's work, so I might be biased..

Play it in good health and enjoy. I know I would.

You made some great choices there. It looks fantastic.

Am I trippin', or is that strung B-E-A-D?

Also, can you ID all the woods?
I'm terrible at this, but is it walnut/mahogany body, ebony fb?

I can totally see this being a 'holy grail' kind of bass for someone who likes this kind of bass!
    Very nice!
