Not too many things let the world know that it is dealing with a dauntless young macho bad-ass like a pretty pink fiver. I've been a Carvin (still have trouble saying "Kiesel") consumer since the late 70's and they have never been better, I can't imagine what would make this one any more so. Well done, Escondido. (Proactive answers to traditional questions - Light Pink on alder, oiled maple neck and flame maple board, just under 9 pounds, H50A stacked humbuckers in the 60's position, volume / blend / passive tone / stacked bass and treble EQ, seven weeks from phone call to FedEx, sounds grand, plays like butter, chicks dig it.)
She's a beautiful instrument! I never thought I would love the look of a pepto bass, but I was wrong. Tangentially, did you get a warning from Kiesel when they shipped it? I have a JB5 on order and really don't want the thing sitting on my doorstep without me realizing it's there.
That is indeed a pink bass. I'm surprised they do do the batteries as two separate boxes instead of just using a double box
Yes, Pink is associated with women and girls, but it's just another color to me. Your bass looks incredible!
Hi, Real men play pink basses. I've been eyeing the PB5, been saving my gig money. Been through the "build your bass" page a few times. Please let us know how it works out on the gig. Thank you for your indulgence, BassCliff
I was told they will put a Keisel logo on a Carvin order but not a Carvin logo on a Keisel order. You can still order certain models of Carvin basses.
Thanks, it's a Kip Winger Hamer Impact. Very few were made, the pink is a refin though. It looks like the factory copper finish is under it, I like the pink. I scored big time on it, price was very very low.
"Carvin" is still default on the JB5 according to the online builder. Why they're doing this strange mix of both names I cannot explain.
