This bass is something I've wanted for years in my favorite color. After weeks of waiting I finally got this beauty in time tonight to try if for 5 gigs over the next 4 days. Man did it blow my mind with every level and the members of the band as well tonight. Keith Roscoe makes some unbelievable basses. Knobs made by Devin Cline at D-Cline Designs.
Played this beauty several times live in a full band setting this first weekend of receiving it and man what a bass. Bass was so fun to play and so tight tonally. Had several band members look over at me while we was playing and grin and shake their head in approval.
I briefly owned an SKB 3006 with the same finish. I was told it was the first one in that finish and the top was similar to yours and it looked like looking into the rippled blue water of a swimming pool. I loved that bass but it had a very heavy mahogany body and weighed just over 11 pounds so I sold it. Too bad it was heavy. It had reverse slant PU's and was a fantastic sounding bass.
Beautiful bass for sure. But those knobs being more of a turquoise shade than the body color would drive me crazy.
It’s according to how the light hits them. They look really close on color wise at other angles and light.
Yup, gorgeous finish, and as was mentioned above, looks like water rippling. I actually really like the back as well...maybe more than the front, as my personal fondness of quilt tops has been on the wane of late. Still, stunning, and glad you finally got what you were after...I say this as a king of delayed gratification. Enjoy, and play the hell out of it!
