My new lady arrived today. A Spector Euro 5LX with Poplar top. 100% mint condition, got her in the Spector hardcase. This bass is used, but it is absolutely flawless! It was packed so well I almost thought I got a new one by mistake! This thing is so gorgeous and the sound matches the looks and then some! Sounds amazing through my Traynor/Acoustic stack. The Tonepump is being quite versatile as far as I'm concerned, I can dial in most every tone I could need with the onboard EQ and minimal amp tweaking. From clean deep fingers, to dirty overdriven pick grind, it sounds fantastic. Sorry, no sound clips at this point =(

Ran me $1030 on Ebay. Money well spent if I do say so =D

Gorgeous, but she needs another string. ;)

How do you get such great, clear pictures?

    Sweet mercy!

Gorgeous Spector there. Beautiful top. A crazy amount of bass for the money there. Nice ebay snag. One of those in a 4-string would sure help my collection. :) May you have many toneful gigs together!

  16. Mate that is gorgeous! Nice score.

But does anyone else agree that the black plastic knobs let it down? That's the only thing that's irked me about Spectors.

Very nice! Now just spent a little bit more and invest in some nice knobs for her - I personally have Pearl Black on my Zebrawood ReBop 4, White Pearl on my Cherryburst ReBop 5, and Abalone on my Blueburst ReBop 5 fretless. For the price increase and overall cost of a new Spector these days, you'd think they could at least come equipped with higher-end knobs then the plastic POS' that are standard on most of the the non-USA basses... :scowl:

Agreed. I loved the knobs on my old NS-2A. They were metal, had a white dot and the pots were center indented.

BTW, great specimine of a Spector there. That top is unreal!
