NBD: Epiphone T-Bird Classic IV Pro

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by RandomBox, Jun 20, 2014.

  1. Just picked it up an hour ago. I had it on layaway, then lost my job, so my father helped me pay the last $50. Now I just need to get some new strings for it. So far I'm really loving the tone. It's got a nice growl to it.

Sweet! If clubs are your thing, the Thunderbird club is always very active, and a great way to get some knowledge on the venerable "Bird". Congrats!

Awesome! I've been gassing for a white T-Bird for a while now. Congrats!

  7. Yeah the white really pops on this one, very classy looking. I like the Epiphone white much better than the Epi sunburst, the tinting on it never is done as nice as the Gibson. Must be on purpose.

  8. Yeah, I thought the sunburst was a bit too bland. Plus the white finish really looks much better in person than the photos they use to advertise it

Nothing like a white Tbird! Congratulations!

  12. Nice one! I'm loving mine. Try the pickups at full bridge and tone, and about 60-70% neck for a growl that cuts through anything.

  13. I'll have to try that.

I'm suprised at how versatile the Gibson p'ups are. You can get smooth tones or awesome growl.

  14. Yea, its quite amazing. I've found that in some VVT set up basses, you might as well just have a two way switch, but you can really hear the difference when you roll down the volume or tone on the epi.
