Just received a 2011 60th Anniversary Precision. Nearly unplayed condition, all case candy , most of which, like the strap and polish cloth, are unopened. The bass weighs 8.7 lbs and is highly resonant when played acoustically. I'm very anxious to play it in the band.

Quite possibly the best P bass Fender has ever produced. Nice find!

Clearly you are not participating in GAS-abatement week here at TB. Enabler!

    Great bass.

Nice. What is the color called? I really like it and I have a refurbish waiting for a refinish.

Thanks for all comments. The color is see-through blond I believe. Fender literature claims the finish is thin nitro-cellulose on these models.

The official color was called Blackguard Blonde. It is indeed a nitro finish.

Great bass! I'm using it right now to record a track. I've got LaBella Tapes on her currently (change from pic). DSCF2366.JPG

Fabulous bass, I enjoyed mine although I recently traded it on a custom shop 59 relic p which really floated my boat (not a fair comparison of course, considering the price difference).

Beautiful. Bet it plays and sounds amazing, too.
  17. I remember when this first came out quite few folks were dissin' it for its aesthetic alone (mix style que...etc). I always loved it myself. I want one!

Yeah that's awesome. A nice mix of the '51 and standard p bass designs.
