So, I wasn't exactly planning on buying a new bass, as I recently got kicked out of my band. However one of these came across my Facebook Marketplace in the Satin Lake Placid Blue, and I'm a sucker for blue basses. They retail for $1249. The cheapest used model on Reverb right now is $975, cheapest Satin Lake Placid Blue is $1149. The average of all the used sales on Reverb since 12/2018 is $955. This guy was asking $950. For S&G I offered him $800, and he countered with $850 so I said yeah. Met up with him today and played it for a bit, paid him and was on my way. It's from 2018, so it's one of the first ones. And the only sign it's ever been played is a tiny 1.5mm nick in the paint on the forearm contour. I played it for about an hour tonight and very happy with the tones I was able to get. Can go from very mellow to an absolute monster. For right now I think my happy place is P pickup at 100%, J pickup at 50% and tone to taste. It's got pretty impressive sustain too. It's very comfortable to play as well. The neck doesn't feel chunky at all, very easy to move around on. It's my first MIA Fender, and I'm pretty pleased. I ordered some GHS Pressurewounds from the TB store, can't wait til they get here.

Yup, love mine! $850 with that’s case? That’s a very good deal!

Nah the case is mine. Did come with a gig bag though.

  4. Nice NBD! I'm thinking about one of those in that color- have been for awhile.

Love the color combination with the black PG and maple fingerboard. A beauty, for sure!
