IMG_0760.JPG IMG_0760.JPG Figure I would get one before they are all gone. If I leave it unsupervised with the Rick, will they fight or can they be trusted to work and play well with each other?

I own both...you have to keep them separated or it gets ugly. While the Ric will mind it's own business and do its best to just sit there and look pretty...the Fender tends to be a bully.

Becareful though, if one is male and one is female, you're going to end up with a bunch of little mutt basses running around, therefore tainting the bloodlines of these two respected pure breds!

  4. Naahh, they get along good usually although they do tend to get a little jealous of each other occasionally. When they play together watch out that they don't go overboard.

  7. Haha! Nice Rick by the way, hopefully that's my next bass, going back and forth between a mahogany and a jetglo 4003S.

Nice pair! I have a AmStd J just like yours. (And a walnut Cheyenne very similar to your 4003s)
    So far,no infighting amongst them.

Thanks all. I think I now have the trifecta for a Beatles lover plus with the jazz I can mangle some Eagles and Animals as well. Now time to focus on getting my playing wothy of the collection. And maybe a nice tube amp......

Which one would you say has a bigger body? Bigger headstock? Which one bigger overall?

Congratulations sir. You officially have the two best bass models ever made. A jazz bass and a rick.

Congrats on the Jazz! Got one yesterday too, same color.
How was the action on yours? Mine was Golden Gate Bridge high. And the store had taken the trouble to join a certificate stating that my instrument had been "setup" before shipping :roflmao:

If needed, I'm free on the weekends, to chaperone both of them... My promise to you is to ensure they play well together... just not at the same time.
