    Hi folks,

It's been a while since I bought a new bass but I coudn't pass on this one.

It's simply the best P-Bass I've ever played.

I don't know what Fender Custom Shop does exactly and if it's the wood or the pickups but these instruments have, for lack of better words and hard to explain, this woody, barky bite in the mids that no other P-Bass I tried or heard other then the vintage or CS Fender has.

Other than that, it plays beautifully, not a single dead spot whatsoever, the notes sing with authority and the pickups got this vintage kind of compression/saturation.

The relic job is awesome too.

That's it, on with the pics! :)

My 82' Precision was that color.... tobacco sunburst? Maple f/b, too. "The one that got away...."

Just picked it up from my luthier and it plays even better than when I initially brought it home. And had the opportunity to hear it in the FOH from an Instagram story from someone in the audience and I was delighted by the tone.

Being a lefty, I think my next bass purchases will be from Fender's custom shop.

Congratulations. I want a CS '57 sooooo bad!

Fender Custom Shops have really demanded my attention as of late. The necks are amazing to me now. The playability and tones are amazing.

I'm glad you took the opportunity to hear it FOH. A lot of bassist don't seem to realize how important that is to the whole sound scape. It wound make them approach their choice of instrument and the such MUCH differently.

No. I bought it used from someone here locally who had bought it a year before from a store in the UK.

Congrats on that '57! Wonderful neck. :)
Yes, CS instruments have indeed something unique - all the essence of Fender captured together.
