Picked up a Fender Dimension HH American Standard (passive). For some reason, a passive HH bass really appeals to me and so far I think this thing is pretty cool. I think I’ll use roundwounds on it, thanks for checking it out
So far it does P better than J and I like that. The neck PU seems to be dominate. Very tight, controlled and fat. Similar to a HH guitar I guess, this is my first bass with a humbucker in the neck position. I think I’ll do a video with it this weekend
Didn't even know they had a passive version… the 18-volt actives were a big turn-off. Looks great in Ocean Blue Metallic. Almost bought a body in that color from the Stratosphere.
I felt the same way about the 18V versions. That’s cool the Ocean Blue body was available it’s a cool color. My kids especially like it. One funny thing is that the guitar has an 18V sticker on the neck plate, had me a little confused for a second lol {}
I don't see any passive models on the Fender website, except the MIM one. Has this been discontinued?
Yes, I believe the American standard passive HH version was only available for a short time. 2014-2015 I believe. I think it was never brought over when the American Professionals were phased in.
I made a video with the new bass. This is with both pickups all the way up and the tone all the way up as well. I’m a new player so bare with that
