NBD! First new bass in 6 years

    Got a birthday gift for myself with some encouragement from my wife, since I normally don’t buy stuff for myself. Fender American Professional Jazz, bought used here on TB! So far I love this bass! Totally different than the Sterling and I love that! I now have a “modern” active bass and a “classic” passive bass. I feel spoiled as both of these have incredible necks and are wonderful players! The tone is amazing and IMO is definitely that classic Jazz bass sound.

    But the bigger question is where are you guys getting wives that encourage you to buy a bass for your birthday? This is the second or third thread in the last few days with a similar subject.

    Does your wife have a sister that’s available? :)
