We all know the story; man (or woman) walks in guitar shop for strings or picks and plays a couple things buys strings and then leaves. Except when they fall in love, which is funny because when I saw this and at first didn't think much, until I looked closer. Plays nice and I've never seen a Mexican made fender with a flame maple fretboard, so as the story goes here I am with an emptier wallet and a nice new tool! Next to her sister!
I know it's not a color I see often so it kinda drew me to it buyin it a bit more, most fenders in my town are sunburst, black or white for some reason
That's lovely - Having recently got a MIM Classic Player Rascal, I'm given to thinking that the Mexicans took a look at what was coming off the line in China (Classic Vibe & Modern Player) and said, "Hey Amigos, we really need to up our game!", as the recent stuff coming from Fender Mexico has been really excellent.
I'm not usually a fan of blue basses (some exceptions being Ric Bluebursts and Blueboys); but I love that white one! A white pearl guard would look great also. Your new blue one does look nice though, and the flame on the neck looks great.
