Picked this Emperor 5 Standard last week! The craftsmanship, playability and tone is mind blowing. The preamp is very natural and musical, and the coil tap gets a killer jazz bass sound. Demos to come. It's often said Foderas are overpriced and not worth it. Thats up to you to decide. I wonder how many people who say that have played one. The law of diminishing returns applies of course; but I can tell you this bass is amazing! All this being said, no bass is sacred to me. This bass will still get happily thrashed at pub gigs!
Beautiful bass I just bought a Smith and I've been gigging it. I'm protective but I bought it to use. Congrats
I was fortunate to find a beautiful Classic here from a local TB brother. It’s my first Fodera. They’re incredibly well made instruments with a unique character all their own. I get much joy from mine, hope you get the same satisfaction from yours. Congratulations!
MTD steels Thanks! CHEAP! Thanks! and congrats to you too, playing a Fodera is definitely an experience.
Being a former Fodera Emperor Std 5 owner; I congratulate you for the purchase. A good decision if you need a wide variety of tones with Fodera quality. Here is my opinion on that: Is Fodera Worth The Money?
Thanks! Yep I had a good read, nicely written. The discussion is a dead horse quite frankly, just play what you want and have fun...
Sweet bass! Until I bought my Marleaux Contra a Fodera was the finest bass I’d ever laid hands on. The Foderas are simply superb instruments. Congratulations.
