  1. It's been a month or two since I got this bass, but I finally got a chance to take some pics today:

let me guess the controls - stacked volume/passive tone, blend, bass, mid, treble, active/passive switch, coil tap neck, coil tap bridge. am i right?

Out of curiosity, any reason you went for the output jack on the front?

  6. dedpool, you're right, except the last two switches are coil tap and mid-range, which makes it pretty versatile.

also, the jack in the front is standard for Foderas and I prefer it because even when I'm playing it while sitting on the couch or if I'm putting it on a low-sitting guitar stand, the cable jack doesn't get squished.

    Oh, yum.

  8. thanks, btw, she used to be Fodera co-owner Jason's personal 5 string!

  9. Wow! I have the Emperor version of this bass ;)

  10. hey, I think I know which bass you're talking about! I think there's only a couple of Chilean laurel burl top Foderas out there.

Just gorgeous bass you have there! Is it bolt on?

  18. That is a beauty! I've always thought that the black hardware looks SO much better (classy versus overly 'blingy') on the Fodera's, versus the gold that seems to be used on the vast majority of those instruments.

I also greatly prefer the 'P Bass' symmetrical body style of the Monarch versus the larger 'J Bass' inspired Emperor.

    Perfect Fodera IMO!!!! Congrats!
