The kids came into town for Christmas and brought me my present. A Hadean bass Uke from Rondo. Seems very well put together and is pretty fun to play. I like the built in tuner as well. have not had a chance to plug it in yet but maybe this weekend! Anyone know where to get a reasonably priced case for these? Pics
Very nice. I just saw those recently and they are the only bass on my gas list. Small. Easy to travel with. I hope it sounds as well as the Kala Ubasses. I assume they do. Congrats
Nice, if it's the same dimensions as the Kala you could use one of their cases, they're around $85. Looking forward to hearing your impressions on the sound once it's plugged in.
Get a chance to plug it in yet? I've played a Kala UBass Rumbler and loved it. My guess is the would sound and play just about the same. It sounded like an amplified acoustic upright... moreso than my Stagg upright. I really REALLY think this would be the last bass I bought if I got one.
I have one of these coming Monday. I am also looking for a gig bag. $85 seems like too much. Make that WAY too much. Nothing out there cheaper?
I've been looking over on eBay at baritone ukulele gig bags and it seems like several there may fit, but I've yet to pick one up. $15-$30 or so.
I ordered an Oscar Schmidt gig bag from a local music shop. I was told it was padded. It wasn't. It also didn't fit. It was for their baritone. So the search continues. I really wanted a padded bag. I may order the hard case mentioned on another thread...
I ended up ordering a Fusion F4 Baritone Ukulele Gig Bag, which looks like it will work. I also wandered into my local GC and found that they were clearancing Taylor GS Mini gig bags for $20. I picked up one of these on a whim. A bit bigger that needed, but has a movable neck block. I'll probably sell the Taylor bag and keep the Fusion bag just for the extra $$$.
