6 months of waiting paid off!!!! Thanks to Tony @ Planet Bass in MN, and Modulus for doing a configuration that they've NEVER done before!!!

So far so great. 19mm spacing is an absolute must for me these days, and the 34" scale is about the only way I'll manage to play an unlined fretless in tune. There's just something about graphite in a fretless neck. Every note just sounds perfectly balanced anywhere on the fretboard. Can't wait to gig her!!!!

Thanks! Just got the setup right where i want it. Freaking amazing, and an ultimate proof for me that rigidity of the neck is what equals a great B string, NOT an extra inch of scale length. This B roars like every Modulus (4) i've owned/gigged.

First time for them. And it works REALLY well. Very comfortable on the left wrist, and easier to play in tune. Have the Aguilar pre in it as well.

    Very much so!

nothing like a unlined fretless! and a modulus to boot!

I would love to try a 34". I have a '92 Q5 fretless and I cannot do the 1-2-3-4 (1 finger per 'fret') stretch above the 9th fret. I've learned to deal w/it....but it's not optimum.

    CONGRATS!!!

    ElMon what was the first?

    That bass looks good.

    I have a 34" scale fretless Q6 on order.

Sweet! I'm really happy to see Modulus offering both 19mm spacing and 34" scale, and the hollow body is icing on the cake--one of the most beautiful Quantum's I've seen!

Thank you for getting it unlined. That way, I won't tempted to sell off something I need (like a kidney) when you flip it later. :bag: ;)

Modulus has been offering that option the Q5 for a while. But not 19mm for the Q6.

That Aguilar/Bart setup is THE way to go on these basses, IMHO, very powerful and versatile.

They've offered 34" scale with normal (17mm) spacing or wide (22 mm) spacing, and recently they've offerred 19mm spacing on a 35" scale, but this IS the first 34" with 19mm spacing. Modulus made a new mold for this option.

I prefer 34" scale on fretless bass myself as well. And I went with an ash body.
