Well I just had to have one. Found a G&L Tribute LB-100 and having been extremely impressed with how Squier stepped up their game with the FSR Classic Vibe Precision, I figured G&L's budget line might also be a diamond in the rough. I'll be gigging it tomorrow (Sunday) so I'll update about the live sound, but after a quick string change to LaBella Black Tapes and some small setup adjustments, it feels and sounds great through my practice amp. 9lbs exactly. Anyhow, here's some photos.
Congrats! That's a great looking bass. Every newer Tribute i've played has handled nicely, hopefully this one is no different!
So, played it today at our gig at the local watering hole. Wow.... Very comfortable to play for 3 hours and great tone. Well worth the $500.
I'm debating ordering a brown tortoise 4 ply pickguard. I think that would look great. I wish it was easier to find a replacement pickguard for G&L Tribute bass guitars. Pickguard Heaven is the maker of the factory installed ones, but they tell me I have to pull my existing pickguard, mail it to them before they'll do a replacement.
The LB-100 is THE BEST dang P-bass I ever played! And I typically don’t like P-basses...that says a lot! Congrat’s!
