Saw this bad boy on guitar center used for 159. Tax and shipping up to 193.
Came with a hipshot badass! Nearly new with just surface scratches Build quality is outstanding. As good as my classic series 70's P...and it has a higher quality sound imo. I'm a P bass man and I can't put it down. The the neck has flame maple fingerboard top for goodness sake! The poor schmuck that traded this might have got 100$.

  2. The poor schmuck most likely didn’t know what to do with that bass as a whole...
But then again, why would he install a KickAss bridge? Weird...
    Awesome find!

That's an excellent chunk of maple - keeper grade. Major score! (Small twinge of jealousy)

  5. I doubt the last owner got anywhere near 100 bux.

  6. Great find! Treebeard! I too found a 1991 Squire at GC a few years back. This photo is after all the mods. :) Paid $50.00 ! Fabric tie-dye wrap, by-pass, phase and "bridge only w/.22mf" switching.

ha ha...so that's where the bass went. Not that I was going to buy it as my wife would have killed me. thought it was a good deal. Only Dimension they have now is a red one for around $225 I think, and without the bridge upgrade.
    Congrats on the great deal.

This bass needs flats and some foam!

Very nice, those basses are different and have their own nice tone.
