NBD - Help ID this Samick?

    Picked this up locally the other day. My first guitar in the early 90's was a Samick and everything about this bass screamed at me to bring it home! I love the color, the painted neck-thru and headstock, and and the thin body. It plays and sounds amazing. Pup's are thumpy and the pup selector switch with tone knob gets many different tones. Pictures dont do the red wood color justice, but.....

    I've tried researching the year and model and it looks like it was made in '94 in Korea, but haven't been able to ID the model. Anyone have any ideas?

    Possibly an XBT-632. In that family for sure.

    That looks pretty exact to me! Is that a neck-thru as well?

    I should think so - here's a close-up of another XBT-637, with no sign of a neck pocket:

    Based on the headstock and description I'm pretty sure it's a Samick.

    Sweet bass. Samicks are criminally underrated. I have two SS that are great.

    I had an early 90's Alvarez bass that looked a lot like that Samick.
