    absolutely beautiful bass!
i'm surprised that they didn't use cream colored switches and 'teacup' knobs on it. IMO, that would be icing on the cake.

    congrats!

I found it at Alto Music in Middletown, NY. They had a shipment of new Hofner CTs and ICONs. When I saw it, I had to pick it up and make sure that it was new. Indeed it was and at $550, I guess that puts at the high end in the CT price range.

I don't have any clue where it was manufactured. I may have to contact Hofner USA to find out. Nothing and I mean nothing is listed anywhere on the internet.

One thing I will say in regard to the pick ups is that they are very low output. It took me and the store techs a while to figure out how the Hofner switches function and determine that the pickups were indeed working. But the neck is really sweet and it will be my first short-scale at what seems to be 30". I wasn't sure I'd ever see another one so....

We'll see. If they become hard to find..?? Maybe, more than $550, but I doubt $2K. In any case, I couldnt say no at that price.

    :D THANK YOUUUUU!!

  18. What does the Rhythm/Solo switch do? Boost the volume? Change the tone? Something else?
