I've been working on this thing forever so I was pretty excited to finally finish it. I bought the wood for this 3 years ago, did a little bit of work, then I realized I was in way over my head. I took 2.5yrs off, and picked it up about 6 months ago. Finally I am don and very happy with how it turned out. Haven't had a lot of time to try it out (just finished late last night), but I did assemble it before I put the finish on it, and it sounded awesome. I can't wait til Monday's band practice. The pic is pretty bad but all I have is my phone.

Beautiful! So give us the details....
  16. No sound clips yet, but as requested here are some more pics.

I kinda screwed up in the location of the logo, I should have moved it down so the string doesn't cover part of it.

I still need to finish the cavity cover.

The specs for this bass are nothing special.

    It's 34" scale
Bridge and Tuners are generic from Stew Mac I think.
Pickups are Fender N3 Noiseless Jazz from bestbassgear.com
The body is made up of Curly Maple, and Purple heart that I bought from James at the wood shed www.woodshedlumber.com (James was a huge help in this project as well, he let me use his planer and jointer, and also helped me inlay the piece of purple heart in the top)
