It's a Jack.
really nice! looks like it's going to be fun. congratulations!
Great color, really looks good on the JC, congrats!
-At this price, the neck to body joint should be sanded smoother: on the back you can see the joint. Not a huge deal but at this price....
-Lack of felt cushions under pickguard: Contact with the body would wear through the finish.
-Nut is ALMOST perfect, just a little high for me, need to file it a bit.
-Stock strings suck but we knew they would didn't we?
-Frets are done very nicely. no sharps at all.
-The sound; fantastic! VARITONE is very cool. Pickup goes from wood to hot, to ghost pepper in a flick of the chicken.
-Well, LOOK AT IT!!!
-Placed squares of self-stick velcro fuzz at the two points around the pickup and one under the screw at the neck. Now the guard stands proud of the body.
-GHS Pressure Wounds: fattened the tone right up.
-Dunlop locks on the way.
Oh, happy day!
Edit: Didn't notice my dog against my leg in the lower right corner, LOL.
Dang that's a good looking bass! Congrats!
Still have it?
Amazing color. And those are great basses, too. I have a gold one.
My only complaint is the neck dive. Be careful about that.
