So I’m looking through kijiji and see an ad for a “Squier bullet base”
Went to check it out and sure enough it’s an SQ serial number Fujigen issue in black. Mind you the body is beat and the neck is gonna need to be cleaned up but everything works and the truss rod turns!

Got it for $40 CND with OHSC. First project base I think! Back of the neck has some songs and stuff and the fretboard has some wear but I’m hoping i can refinish this into a cool player!

Thanks guys! Anyone able to direct me to some threads detailing how to get the finish off the body and sand the blemishes out of the neck and fret board that would be mint!

no endorsements but would love a few ;-)
eh, for $40 if it doesn't turn out well it would look great hanging on your man-cave wall as "art" ;-)

Kijiji is great, better than Craigslist in this part of the world.

    Congrats!

Definitly worth the measly $40...I call that a 3-point score.

    I’m
More worried about fixing the dings on the neck body and fretboard then the pickups lol

Super-fine steel wool lightly used for the finishing work and Clearasil for the blemishes. ;)

Wouldn’t a light grade sandpaper work better on eh neck? And as for the body there has to be an easier way then sandpaper to take that finish off lol. It’s like 1/8” thick!
