Dropped off from Sweetwater earlier today.

Now THIS is the quality I expected. Absolutely perfect. Needed a slight tweak on the truss rod (for my personal preference) and I adjusted the internal active trim pot so the levels were more inline with what I want. Slightly lower in active when flat but I really like the sound of boosting the Bass and Treble a bit so now active has only a slight volume boost. I’m surprised how much I enjoy the passive sound too.

LOVE the ramp. Makes total sense especially on a single pickup bass. BTW, tone is quintessentially “fretless” when played over the pickup and super thick when played right where a “J pickup” would roughly be located.

My 3 year old son said “(gasp) wow dad. Your guitar is pretty”. I’m inclined to agree.

Edit…

After a couple hours playin with headphones (as it’s 3:30 am right now and I got off work early) I’m REALLY enjoying the passive tone. Lots of midrange bite. Playing along with a bunch of tunes and man this thing POKES out in passive.

Took the ramp off to try a bit of slap. Surprised there’s not brass inserts where the screws attach the ramp to the body. Maybe on the Japanese model it’s got them. No biggie. Can’t see myself taking the ramp off a ton.

Absolutely beautiful. I usely don't like this kind of shapes but this one is incredibly gorgeous.

Your children have got a head start in music. Enjoy playing!
I can usually get about 5 minutes of playing (quietly mind through my 410, 155, and 112 cabs lol) until they ask me to stop playing. It’s distracting them from playing Mario Kart, Brio wooden trains, or reading lol…

Yet somehow they never ask their mom to stop playing when she’s working on things…
