NBD Mayones Patriot Classic 5!!!!!

    So I’ve been on the hunt for about a month now for a nice 5 string and finally found it!

    Made the 2 hour drive from Central CT to Weymouth, MA on the South Shore of Boston to visit the great folks at South Shore Music to pick up this beautiful Mayones Patriot Classic 5.

    Has a fantastic “Blue Jean” finish on the top. Seems to have an almost 3 D quality to it. Sort of like looking into the clear blue ocean is what it reminds me of. Hahaha.

    Neck thru construction, 34.25 scale, Aguilar Pickups, Darkglass Preamp , active/passive switch, and more.

    Plays great and has a tone of tone options. Slap tone is amazing (not that I’m much of a slap player) and the the rock/ hard rock tones I can get with the Darkglass Pre are great. So far, very impressed with my first Mayones!

    The one downside was having to trade in my prized Elrick NJS, but I’m saving up to but that one back from them!

    Mayones basses flat out rock. Hard to find anything better. These are amazing instruments. I miss both the Patriot and Prestige I owned. In moments of weakness I let them go.

    purdy! very intrigued by the darkglass pre. but I shan't look them up..the wife will get me.
