Out of box just needs a little adjustment
to my liking. Sounds and plays great.
These are just awesome for what you pay.

Heard you, I picked up a black SB14, but the color on that one is beautiful. Grats!

but webtroll, I really think your SB14 to be a sensitively better
    bass than the SUB;)

These are great basses. Setup very well right out the box. Necks are very stable. Very low action. Weak spot is the preamp but it's easily upgradeable. Love mine. Haven't touched the neck since I got mine over a year ago. Damn near flat and zero fret buzz!

Because these basses are priced low to begin with brand new, keep an eye out for used ones. Those are fantastic deals! They disappear really quickly on the GC website. Bought two of them for almost the same price of one new one. I bought a mint green one new, but picked up the walnut finish and a white one for $149 and $159 respectively. Both in like new condition.
I do like the mint green color though, I've yet to see used ones in this finish anywhere. Awesome bass op!

It's an import SUB SB14, actually a few bucks cheaper than the SUB StingRays
