The tidiest way to do that would be to simply rewire the volume pot as a tone knob.
Sorry the bass didn't work out for you, but thanks for sharing it with the rest of us, virtually speaking!
How about a stacked knob like on an early Jazz Bass?
That would be nice.
I love the look of that big vintage knob but yeah, I need tone controls. Stacked would be cool.
I think they look pretty cool! If you don’t gel with it and wanna move it on let me know!
Ah I missed the post about it being gone to a new home already!
I have this one on my radar. I love the idea of a single knob passive instrument.
This bass is versatile, you're not versatile. Man, those strings are versatile god damn, man you're not versatile, that bass is versatilae, look at that white knob dammit.
NO MORE GOVERNMENT SUBSIDIES FOR ACTIVE BASSES
it's good that you know what you want/like to play your best! good luck next time!
(good looking ax, though!)
Do you have any details on what is going on in there? I'm interested in doing a parts bass with similar stuff. I have Musicman Taste but not the budget.....
The cavity looked like this.
That is one heck of a drug smuggling control cavity!
What pick up is in there? I know it's a EBMM, but is it a passive sterling pickup? Or a custom one? Interesting. Thank you!
Bummer that it didn't work out for you, but thanks for sharing the pics. Definitely a looker...
Cool bass, shame you couldn’t make a go of it.
When I first saw those drop, I thought that the single giant knob should have been wired as tone with a push/pull, on/off pot.
