Just picked up this USA Musicman Stingray Classic upgraded with an Aguilar pickup and Aguilar OBP preamp in a local trade!

Plays wonderful (nice, low action). Tone, is on-point too!

Check this video link with a pretty good example of how it sounds --->

  8. An accurate reproduction -- they make you have a phillips screwdriver to get to the battery!

That shade of white ought to be called bone white. I think it looks great whatever it is called. Did you get the original preamp too? I don’t think anyone does Music Man better than Music Man.

Same as early G&Ls - no big deal to me, as I'd play one of those 'Ray Classics in a heartbeat...

Agreed 100% on all of the above - nothing against Aguilar, but I would've preferred the original electronics, too... Awesome bass, though - I'm definitely jelly...

Yeah, I'd like a Classic 5, too - I don't know that it would replace my Sterling 5 HS, but I'd definitely prefer it to a standard 'Ray 5er...

Unfortunately not. The guy I got it from was the 2nd owner and he didn't get the original pup and pre from the 1st owner. :( I did get the OHSC though.. :)

Love the finish, @Quadzilla! My MV4 has that same translucent white, with a bluish grain underneath... keeper, all the way. Congrats!
