Congratulations, that is one beautiful instrument!

Very glad to hear that it was worth the risk of selling your other basses for this one! Enjoy it!

That is absolutely superb. I hope you get a lot of enjoyment from it - it's very similar to what I'd specify if I was making move to Fodera.

Beautiful instrument! May I ask what's up with the way the headstock is strung? It's at least the second fodera I've seen like that so there must be a reason to it.

  12. They claim it increases B string tension

I was thinking the same thing... what a unique way to string that B.

Interesting explanation on why they do it. Would love to hear clips vs. a B strung the "normal" way to see if there's truly a difference.

    Gorgeous bass... love koa!

Tim Commerford changed his necks on the his drop D basses to lefty necks because he feels more tension on the D string on the last tuning peg.

    Do you feel it too?

Dos thumbs up!! I love the extended B, My Vadim (of Fodera) bass has that and an extended E. It is the subtitles as such that put Fodera in a league of it's own. Enjoy that beaut for the next few decades!

Just for fun, I went to the Fodera web site and noticed that when placing an order for a bass and you select black hardware, they charge $150 more at deposit time... Is it because they are trying to make you change your mind or what?
